Dr. Judith E. Luchsinger
Dr. Judith E. Luchsinger is the CEO of QED Consulting Group, with 40 years of management and consulting experience. She has specialized in helping food and wine industries, as well as manufacturing and service organizations, implement ISO-compliant Quality, Environmental, and Food Safety Management Systems. Her expertise includes preparing companies for ISO certification, training, internal audits, GAP analysis, pre-certification auditing, and project management. Dr. Luchsinger has pioneered ISO applications in wineries, and worked with organizations like PBS, the Rockefeller Foundation, Motorola, Ryder Corp., and The Kaiser Group. She has also led international seminars as a speaker and workshop leader.
George Zalatan
George Zalatan has over 35 years of Quality Management experience, including Caterpillar, Solar Turbines, and General Electric. As an Associate Professor at San Diego State University, he spent 20 years developing and teaching courses in Manufacturing Systems and Technology and Lean Manufacturing. In addition, George implements Lean/Six-Sigma improvement projects for clients. George earned a MBA and a BSIE from Syracuse University and is a Six - Sigma Black Belt and a Professional Manufacturing Engineer.
Dr. Perry F. Gayaldo
Dr. Perry F. Gayaldo is recognized for his expertise in environmental science and system process improvements. He has over 25 years of leadership and management experience in the federal government, served as an associate professor at the University of Washington, and has contributed significantly to the field of ecosystem restoration, conservation, and sustainability. His work includes initiatives aimed at improving environmental health and productivity, program strategies and performance, and accountability with a focus on applying scientific principles to real-world challenges.
QED Consulting Group was founded in 1994 by Dr. Judith E. Luchsinger. Headquarted in the northern California wine country, Dr. Luchsinger was hired by Brown-Forman Corporation to implement ISO 9001 at the Fetzer Vineyard site, including the Design and Development of new products. This first success in the wine industry, led to the implementation of the quality management system standard, and other standards, in many wineries from California to New York, from the largest wine production facility in the world (Mission Bell) to a boutique winery (Blackstone Sonoma). Thus, wineries have become a specialty of the QED Consulting Group.
As QED has grown, it has honed its expertise in tailoring the application of international standards to meet the unique needs of each business. With a diverse team bringing additional skills and experience, QED provides consulting services for businesses of all sizes, specializing in preparing companies for international certification, audit training, process improvement, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
QED’s purpose is to bring the international ISO standards to agencies and businesses that are unfamiliar with the benefits of quality and other management systems, and the business improvement and accountability they bring.
